My Story Started With. Sewing Machine in 1983

When I got my hands on my Mum's Pfaff Sewing Machine at age 13, it was love at first Stitch.

Funky shorts, Scrunchies and Hoodies for my friends and I followed and some very interesting 80’s fashion with some Awesome Fabrics from the Remnant Fabric shop near Greville St, Prahran.

I couldn't believe it when I won First Prize in the Royal Melbourne Show for my Very 80's, ‘Peach Organza Fishtail Ballgown’ in Year 11.

My wardrobe consists of Vintage, Op Shop and Me-Made Garments but

I gave it all up as a career choice and completed a Bachelor of Education and became a Special Education Teacher for 12 years.

At one school, During Lunch break I would sell my designs in the staffroom as everyone wanted what I was wearing!!

Fast forward to almost 20 years after quitting my job to follow my passion for Designing and Sewing.

So much hard work, teaching myself how to use the Overlocker and Coverstitch and many fun markets with friends and Mum always there to help.

Now, Here I am sewing in my Vintage Caravan Studio with a successful Online Store and Retailing in many Boutiques around Australia.

I support Australian Businesses, such as sourcing fabric through local Wholesalers in Abbostsford , Sydney & Blackburn and my tags and labels being made in Adelaide & QLD.

Thanks to YOU for Supporting my Small Business & Australian Independent Designers! Nicole x
